Steven L. Carota of Reading, Pa., and formerly of Haskell, N.J., died on Monday, Sept. 14, 2015, at home. He was 30.

He was born Jan. 26, 1985, in Haskell, N.J.

Steven had a great desire to make a difference in this world. He cherished his family and loved God. Sadly, he can never again come to us, but one day; we all will go to him.

Survivors include his mother, Jennifer Dwan, and step-father, Patrick Dawn of Lords Valley; his father, William Hanna of Florida; three brothers, David Carota and his wife, Tara, of Fairlawn, N.J., Jason Carota and his fiancé, Kayla Murphy, of Milford, Shawn Dwan of Lords Valley. He was the most cherished grandson of Helen Dacunto and late Raymond Dacunto, nephew of Lisa and Kenneth Bulmer of Haskell, N.J., Alison and Louis Osborne of Tobyhanna, Pa., Brian and Sandra Williams of Mahanoy City, Pa.; his niece, Ada, nephew, Ethan; and many cousins.

Family will receive friends at Stroyan Funeral Home, 405 West Harford St., Milford, on Sept. 19 from 12 to 4 p.m. A service will be held at the funeral home on Sept. 19 at 4 p.m. with the Rev. Herb Jacobsen officiating.

Memorial donations may be made to the family to assist with the final expenses.
