Wayne Robert Lauer, born on August 12, 1951, in Port Jervis, NY, passed away at the age of 73 on August 12, 2024, in Middletown, New York. Wayne was a cherished member of the community, known for his dedication and skill as a mechanic at Kolmar, where he worked for over 40 years.
Wayne graduated from Delaware Valley High School and later served in the U.S. Navy. His love for nature was profound, often expressed through his favorite hobbies, hunting and fishing. Wayne’s commitment to the outdoors was further highlighted by his involvement with the Wayne Sporting Club in Milford, Pa.
He leaves behind his significant other, Cheryl Fuller; his son, William H. Lauer; son and daughter-in-law, Michael P. Lauer and Megan R. Lauer; brother and sister-in-law, Vaughn K. Lauer and Mary S. Lauer; and his niece and nephew, Melissa D. Lauer and Matthew D. Lauer. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth John Lauer and Elizabeth J. (LaBar) Lauer and son James Kenneth Lauer. Also, cannot forget his fur companion Odi!
Wayne will be remembered for his quiet strength and to the many he has helped along the way, deeply missed by all who knew him and took the nature’s path to heaven.
