Werner Wentz of Milford, Pa., passed away Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2023, at home due to complications of Parkinson’s Disease. He was 80 years old.
Born on Aug.. 19, 1943, in Nuremberg, Germany, he was a son Marvin and Anne (Weig) Wentz.
He received his Bachelor’s Degree from Millersville State College and was a German teacher at Delaware Valley School District for 30 years before retiring in 1996.
He was an avid reader and outdoorsman who loved fishing, hunting, hiking, golf, downhill and cross-country skiing.
He was also a skilled handyman completing many projects for himself, family, and friends.
He was a loving father and grandfather.
He is preceded in death by his parents Marvin and Anne, his brother Dieter, and Coni his loving companion of more than 30 years.
He is survived by his former wife Kay Eaton of Middleville, N.J.; brother Thomas Wentz and his wife Faye of Palmerton, Pa.; son Mike Wentz and his wife Dee of Greentown, Pa., and their two children, Josh and Kyla; daughter Tirza Wetzel and her husband Mike of Blairstown, N.J., and their two daughters Claudia and Julia; and son Matt Wentz and his companion Kate of Breckenridge, Colorado. He is also survived by Coni’s family Robert Murach and Karen Murach and families.
There was a receiving of friends on Sept. 13 at Stroyan Funeral Home, 405 West Harford St., Milford.
