Baking cookies at the hospital

“Let us do the baking for you this holiday season,” says Cathy Howell, president of the Wayne Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. Busy checking those favorite recipes for the Auxiliary’s holiday cookie and gift sale are chairman Valerie Dux (left) and committee member Betty Rothrock (right). Homemade cookies baked by Auxiliary members will be on sale on Friday, Dec. 9 and Saturday, Dec. 10 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at The Other Shop located at 1036 Main Street in Honesdale. The proceeds will help the Auxiliary reach their pledge of $210,000 to the Hospital’s Capital Campaign, Operation Vital Sign. The cookie sale also features holiday items such as jewelry, perfume, watches, hats, wallets, socks and gift sets. This merchandise is from Gatto Distributors.
