Bon Secours security director honored

PORT JERVIS, N.Y. Brian McCabe, was named one of The Irish Echo’s Irish Law and Order 50, bestowed by the Consul General of Ireland during a ceremony at the Consulate of Ireland in New York City last month. The award, which is now in its second year, is dedicated to the men and women of law enforcement who work to maintain public safety. McCabe, who joined the Bon Secours Charity Health System in May, is responsible for all security duties in the three-campus system - Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern, St. Anthony Community Hospital in Warwick and Bon Secours Community Hospital in Port Jervis - including overseeing staffing, patrol, investigations, security and safety assessment, training, review and revision of security policies and courier operations between the three hospitals. He has also received numerous Chief of Detective awards, Excellent Policy Duty and Meritorious medals, as well as the Medal for Exceptional Merit and a Commendation. McCabe lives in Warwick, N.Y., with his wife Joan and their children Gene and Josie.
