ShopRite of West Fall Town Center in Pike County raised more than $7,000 for Make-A-Wish Greater Pennsylvania and West Virginia with its participation in the ShopRite register roundup campaign.
The campaign collects proceeds at the checkout and benefits local children with critical illnesses who are waiting for their wishes to be granted. This is the second year that ShopRite of West Fall Town Center has taken part in the register roundup campaign. Donations were collected from April 15 through April 29.
This year, community members and the supermarket doubled their gift from last year, making the total amount raised for Make-A-Wish nearly $11,000.
“We were delighted to once again work with ShopRite of West Fall Town Center to raise funds in support of for our Make-A-Wish chapter for a second year,” said Maggie O’Brien, Scranton regional manager. “Together, with the help of ShopRite and its customers, we can make wishes come true for children and families in Pike County.”
