Nonprofit organizations looking for a way to boost their fundraising efforts can register now to participate in the June 1-2 NEPA Gives, a 24-hour online giving event that’s all about giving back to the community.
For 24 hours from Thursday, June 1 at 7 p.m. to Friday, June 2 at 7 p.m., secure donations can be made to favorite local nonprofit organizations through the NEPA Gives online platform.
All nonprofit organizations are encouraged to register now at https://www.nepagives.org/register and begin to spread the word about the event to their supporters. The registration deadline is May 19 at 5 p.m., but nonprofits that register before May 4 qualify for a $500 incentive if $500 is raised on the giving days.
In-person events are scheduled for June 1 at Rodanos, Wilkes-Barre and June 2 at both The Settlers Inn in Hawley and the Hilton in Scranton.
The Greater Pike Community Foundation, Scranton Area Community Foundation, Carbon County Community Foundation, The Luzerne Foundation, and the Wayne County Community Foundation and other community sponsors have teamed up to host this year’s event.
