Ice Cold Beer Here, located in Key Food in Milford, is now offering a variety of canned alcoholic drinks thanks to legislation signed by Governor Josh Shapiro earlier this year.

Under the new law, restaurants, bars, beer distributors, grocery stores and convenience stores that are already licensed to sell alcohol can get a special permit to sell the canned drinks. Previously only the state-owned wine and liquor stores were allowed to sell them.

The new law restricts the sale of the drinks to before 11 p.m. and to drinks that have a lower alcohol content than 12.5%.

Marty Eidelstein, proprietor of Ice Cold Beer Here, recently shared the new beverage offerings, which include products by Jack Daniel’s, High Noon, Jameson, Absolut, White Claw, Surfside, Sunny Delight, and more. The canned beverages will be available in four and eight packs. Eidelstein said he signed up for the special permit as soon as it was available, allowing his location to be among the first to offer these canned adult beverages to the Milford community. And note, these are adult beverages and will still require ID to purchase.

Ice Cold Beer Here will continue to sell beer and wine as well in the Key Food location at 502 West Harford Street, Milford.
