Scranton University reaches out to Milford’s small business community

The University of Scranton’s Small Business Development Center (SBDC) held an “Engage! Business Walk” in Milford on Thursday, November 16. Representatives from various local, state, and federal agencies visited businesses, listening to their input about opportunities and challenges.
The group also encouraged people to “Shop Small” for the holidays. Engage! is a statewide initiative funded by the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development. The University of Scranton SBDC provides educational programs and no cost, and confidential consulting services to entrepreneurs looking to start or grow a small business in eight counties in northeastern Pennsylvania.
