WESTFALL — On Wednesday, Oct. 19, Delaware Valley Middle School conducted a career day for 8th graders. The event was planned and directed by Kim Palko, 7/8 grade guidance counselor for the middle school. Students had the opportunity to attend three sessions out of the thirty that were presented. Presenters offered an overview of their career and incorporated unique personal experiences into their session. This afforded the students the opportunity to see a multifaceted view of a career. They learned the practical aspects of education and preparation for a career, the personal commitment that is required, and the rewards and satisfactions each of these representatives experience in their chosen occupation.
