Dispositions in the Pike County Court
of Judge Joseph Kameen Milford - On Aug. 24, defendants who earlier pleaded guilty and were sentenced included: Edward Bethel, 42, of Hamlin, for March, 2005 charge of driving under the influence, in Palmyra and Greene townships, was fined $1,500 and sentenced to serve five days to six months in the Pike County Jail. Eugene Janowski, 30, of Marshalls Creek, for a July, 2005 charge of recless endangerment in Lehman Township, was fined $500 and sentenced to serve one to 12 months in the Pike County Jail. Jaime Rivas III, 18, of Dingmans Ferry, for an Aug. 2005 charge of possession of a controlled substance in Lehman Township, was fined $600 and sentenced to one year of probation. Maureen Cardoso, 40, of Dingmans Ferry, for 2005 charges including, theft, burglary, retail theft, forgery, and ID theft at various places in Pike and Wayne counties, was fined $9,000, ordered to pay $23,000 in restitution and sentenced to serve 2.5 to 5 years in state prison.
