MILFORD — The Black Bear Film Festival, to be held from October 19 to 21 in Milford, starts with special guests special guests Jane Alexander and Lorna Luft at the Milford Theatre.
Luft will talk about her new book, "A Star is Born: Judy Garland and the Film That Got Away." She'll also discuss the iconic film and her even-more-famous mother, Judy Garland.
Alexander is the star of many classics, including "The Great White Hope" (1970), "All the President's Men" (1976), "Kramer vs. Kramer" (1979), and "Testament" (1983) — all nominated for Academy Awards — plus many other films.
Tab Hunter — actor, singer, author, and a former participant in the festival, says Black Bear is “better than any Hollywood film festival I’ve attended. The selection of movies, the attention to detail all wrapped up in the charm of Milford makes the Black Bear Film Festival a five star experience."
