Body found in Sawkill Creek identified

MILFORD — UPDATE: The body discovered in the Sawkill Creek near the Mott Street Bridge on Monday has been identified as Jason Bell, 30, fomerly of Milford.
Former borough mayor Bo Fean confirmed the news for the Courier on Wednesday.
A group of fishermen found the body at around 2:15 p.m. on Monday. Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area Superintendent John Donahue said Wednesday morning that National Park Service rangers recovered the body and turned it over to the Pike County Medical Examiner and Coroner at approximately 4:15 p.m.
The cause of death has not yet been released and is still under investigation.
