MILFORD — The Center for Developmental Disabilities, which serves the special needs of children living in Pike County, will open its doors for a community open house and ribbon cutting from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 5, at 101 Pocono Drive in Milford.
Everyone is welcome to meet the center's staff, learn about its programs and curriculum, and take a tour of the building.
A ribbon cutting ceremony for the center's new playground will be held prior to the open house.
Refreshments will be served.
The center's mission is to provide early intervention, early educational and therapeutic services for children with developmental disabilities and delays up to age five. It is their goal to maximize each child’s potential while giving them the opportunity for growth and development in a setting that meets their individual needs.
