Chick’s Cleaning welcomes new managing partner
MILFORD — The residential and commercial cleaning company Chick’s Cleaning announced the addition of Cathy Rabinowitz to its partnership as a managing partner.
Rabinowitz has decades of experience in the cleaning industry, as well as her business management skills. She will be responsible for managing and training of the “chicks” (i.e., staff members) and become a client liaison, ensuring each job is completed with the highest attention to detail.
Co-owners and "Chief Chicks," Katrina Foster and Caitlan Vill, say they sought cleaning expert help in making Chick’s Cleaning an efficient and effective business.
“When Cathy approached us to become a part of the partnership, we immediately knew it was the right fit,” said Foster. “Caitlan, nor I, have decades of experience cleaning, but had the business end down pat. It made perfect sense to add someone to the team that brought that element of expertise to the table. It was just a bonus that I have known Cathy for years and have personally used her cleaning services for the last decade, so I knew exactly what she was capable of.”
Chick’s Cleaning was launched last July. It offers both residential and commercial services as well as specialty services like pre- and post-event cleaning, rental property turnover, new construction and relocation cleaning for those moving, and home-staging cleaning.
Chick’s uses an extensive checklist to make sure every nook and cranny is attended to and leave personalized notes and reminders for all clients, say Foster and Vill.
The cleaning team can also be scheduled to come at night or on the weekends to best suit client needs. Special requests and preferences are always taken into account.
“After all, it is the client’s property,” said Foster. "They should have it cleaned the way they like."
Rabinowitz said she has always enjoyed cleaning, "but in particular, knowing that when my clients come home after I have been there, that they will be able to take a deep breath, relax, and enjoy their clean home. As I mature in my career, I decided that I wanted to take on a managerial role, but also be a part of something bigger than me. It was a scary transition at first, but it’s been exciting and rewarding being a part of the Chick’s team.”
Rabinowitz has been a go-getter in the world of business since her first major position as a marketing managing assistant for Amphenol, the electronics manufacturer. She graduated from Montclair State University in 1986 with a Bachelor of Science in business administration and with a few years of career experience already.
From there, she continually developed her skills in sales, logistics, and customer service. She has worked for many years with large companies. The challenging demands of keeping track of inventory, generating sales reports and acting as a liaison between the many parts of the distribution chain required her talents.
More recently, Rabinowitz has spent the last 12 years building her own book of cleaning clients, developing a strong handle on the industry.
