Conservation District annual dinner to feature ‘Owls of the Night’ presentation

The Pike County Conservation District announced an invitation to all members of the public to the District’s 2024 annual dinner on the evening of Friday, November 1 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Summit Banquet Room and Conference Center.

This event will detail and celebrate the programs, projects, staff, board, and partners of the Pike County Conservation District throughout 2024. The mission of the District is “long-term protection and sustainable use of Pike County’s natural resources... through partnership, education, technical assistance, planning, enforcement, and leadership.” A buffet dinner will be served at 5:30 p.m. followed by an “Owls of the Night” presentation by the Pocono Wildlife Rehabilitation & Education Center, featuring live rescue owls.

Tickets for the 2024 annual dinner can be purchased for $50 per person now through October 11, 2024. Space is limited, so prior registration is required. Call the District at 570-226-8220 or email emansfield@pikepa.org to RSVP. Payment instructions for completing the ticket purchase will be provided once registration is complete. The address for the event is 196 Karl Hope Boulevard, Lackawaxen, PA 18435, and the dinner will be located on the second floor of the building.
