County Human Services offers rental assistance for residents in need

Pike County Human Services is now offering rental assistance funds through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program to help support Pike County residents who are struggling to keep up with their rent payments due to financial difficulties.
According to the county, the CDBG Rental Assistance program provides eligible households with up to $3,000 in rental assistance, which is paid directly to landlords on behalf of qualified tenants.
To qualify, applicants must be residents of Pike County and be currently behind on rent. The program is funded by the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development. The county said the goal of the program is to “promote housing stability within our community by offering temporary financial relief to those who need it most.”
