The Dingman Township Board of Supervisors announced no rise in taxes next year at its most recent meeting. They also announced a burn ban in effect for the township. The Department of Conservation has imposed a ban on campfires in all state parks, and several surrounding townships have followed suit after a brush fire last week. The Board wants to stress to the public that now is not the time to burn.

In other news, Dingman Township Park is in the process of seeking grant funding for sensory equipment and seasonal playground covers. An insurance payment arrived for the septic panel damaged by a lightning strike and the Sunrise Lake Section 9 water and sewer.

Roof renovations at the Glen Combe townhouses resulted in fines due to a lack of necessary permits. However, there was disagreement about which townships could build without permits and therefore no citations were given. The issue is still being resolved.

The Board noted that there has been no formal review of the Comprehension Plan for 25 years; the Supervisors have approved a chance to review and update it. They will be searching for candidates to review said plan in the coming months.

Emergency services announced that ambulances are now available around the clock, thanks to the support of local municipalities.
