Dingmans Ferry. Earth Day celebration with eco-friendly vendors at PEEC
A fun-filled Earth Day event will be held on April 29, 2023 at the Pocono Environmental Education Center (PEEC) from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be a variety of vendors showcasing eco-friendly products and services, as well as educational displays and hands-on activities for all ages.
Stroll through the vendor booths and learn about sustainable living, renewable energy, organic gardening, recycling, and more. Purchase locally made crafts, natural beauty products, and environmentally friendly household items to support green businesses and reduce your carbon footprint.
Kids will love the interactive exhibits and games, such as a recycling relay race, a solar oven demonstration, and a composting workshop. There will be live music, canoeing, face painting, and tie dying.
In addition to the vendor area, several environmental organizations and nonprofits will be on-site to provide information about their causes and volunteer opportunities. Sign up to plant trees, clean up litter, or participate in citizen science projects to help protect our planet.
Admission is $5 per car, so bring your friends and family and join us for a day of celebrating and caring for our Earth.
The 2023 Earth Day Festival will also kick-off with PEEC’s Tough as Trails 5k Trail Race. The 5k course runs through PEEC’s Main Campus, and includes two gorgeous trail loops; pre-registration is required.
The Pocono Environmental Education Center, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, is located within the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area, between Milford and Bushkill, PA. PEEC advances environmental education, sustainable living, and appreciation for nature through hands-on experience in a national park.
