Dingmans Ferry. Twilight Pond Walk, talk on June 21
Ponds are a common feature of the landscape of the Pocono’s and provide a source of enjoyment for many landowners. Although they occur naturally in this area, many have been constructed for a variety of purposes.
To assist private pond owners and members of lake-based community organizations with making informed and sound management decisions, a Twilight Pond Walk will be held on June 21 from 6-8 p.m. at the Delaware Township complex pond on Wilson Hill Road in Dingmans Ferry.
The Twilight Pond Walk will cover Getting to Know Your Pond Walk & Talk, Pond Water Testing and land Use issues affecting Pond Health. The cost of the workshop is $10.00 per person and includes educational materials.
The event is sponsored by Pike County Conservation District and Penn State Extension.
The registration deadline is June 20. Log onto https://extension.psu.edu/twilight-pond-walk to register.
