Dispositions in Pike County Court

Pike County District Attorney Ray Tonkin on June 14 announced the following criminal sentences issued by Pike County President Judge Joseph F. Kameen:

Kristin Strouse, 29, of Dingmans Ferry was sentenced to a State Correctional Facility for 40 months to 7 years, ordered to pay a fine of $2,000 and restitution in the amount of over $21,000 for the crimes of burglary, criminal conspiracy, and receiving stolen property. On Nov. 12, 2012, Strouse and two co-defendants broke into a residence, causing damage, in Matamoras Borough and took various items including jewelry, cigarettes, and a digital camera. On Nov. 18, 2012, Strouse agreed with two others to break into a residence and steal items including jewelry. They then agreed to sell the stolen jewelry. On Nov. 19, 2012, Strouse acted as a “look out” while her co-defendant forced open a garage and kitchen door. On Nov. 7, 2012, in Matamoras Borough, Strouse was in possession of numerous items, knowing they had been stolen.

Kevin Panowicz, 26, of Milford was sentenced to a State Correctional Facility for 9 to 18 months, ordered to pay a fine of $400 and had his driver’s license suspended for the crimes of delivery of a non-controlled substance and delivery of a controlled substance. On July 23, 2012, in Dingman Township, Panowicz sold 5 oxycodone pills and a chunky white powder he claimed to be cocaine to a confidential informant.

Michele Fregoni, 38, of Greentown was sentenced to the Pike County Correctional Facility for 2 to 23 months, and ordered to pay a fine of $900 for the crimes of simple assault and public drunkenness. On Oct. 1, 2012, at a gas station in Palmyra Township, Fregoni, who was under the influence of alcohol, punched two Pennsylvania State Troopers while they conducted a welfare check on her.

Jermaine Williams, 29, of the Bronx, N.Y., was sentenced to the Pike County Correctional Facility for 14 to 28 days, and ordered to pay a fine of $800 for the crime of unsworn falsifications to authorities and multiple motor vehicle code violations. On July 5, 2012, Williams provided the Pennsylvania State Police with a false date of birth after being pulled over for not having a current inspection. William’s vehicle was not registered or inspected, and was using another vehicle's registration plates.

Gerard Egger, 40, of Lake Ariel was sentenced to a State Correctional Facility for 9 months and 90 days to 5 years, ordered to pay a fine of $2,000 and had his driver’s license suspended for 18 months for the crimes of driving under the influence and driving while operating privileges were suspended. On Oct. 19, 2012, in Palmyra Township, Egger was found to be driving under the influence and on a driver’s license that had already been suspended for a previous DUI conviction. His blood-alcohol level was 0.137 percent.

Kevin Thompson, 19, of Milford was sentenced to the Pike County Correctional Facility for 48 hours to 12 months and ordered to pay a fine of $500 for the crime of criminal trespass. On July 8, 2012, Thompson entered a residence in Dingman Township without permission.
