The staff at Delaware Valley Elementary School recently participated in a “Pie in the Face” contest to raise donations for the American Cancer Society. According to the school district, every faculty member was asked for a volunteer from each grade and staff. Then containers with those staff members’ pictures were left out in a DVES hallway for coin donations. The staff member to get the most donations in their container would then get a pie in the face.
The year, the lucky winner was DVES second grade teacher BJ Zielinski. The Pine of the Face fundraiser managed to raise $550 for the American Cancer Society.
