DVSD to hold donation drive for humane society

The Delaware Valley School District has announced participation in The Great Kindness Challenge for the month of January. All DV schools except for the high school will be running an animal drive, collecting as many items as possible for local animals at the Pike County Humane Society in Shohola.

Each participating school will have its own drop-off location within the building. (DVHS dates for donations and specifics on the drop-off location will be announced at a later date.)

Donations will be accepted until January 31. Rawhide treats will not be accepted.

Items being collected:

• Purina One dry or wet dog food

• Purina One dry cat food

• Fancy Feast wet kitten food

• Toys that are not choking hazard size

• Bones and treats

• New towels

• New sheets

• New blankets

• Paper towels

• Contractor bags

• Kitchen garbage bags

• Monetary donations (checks made payable to the Pike County Humane Society)
