Fire department announces annual Christmas tree sale

The Matamoras Fire Department, Station 32’s annual Christmas tree sales will begin Friday, November 29. The fire department will be selling Pennsylvania-grown trees, homemade wreaths, and grave blankets. Anyone looking to support the fire department while also stocking up on your holiday greenery needs can stop by the fire department, located at 506 Ave Q in Matamoras, starting this Friday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Regular hours for Christmas tree sales after the opening date will be Monday through Friday, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.

The fire department will also be holding a tree lighting ceremony on Saturday, November 30 at 5 p.m. Patrons will enjoy hot cholcoate and light refreshments, plus caroling as they welcome the holiday season.
