State Rep. Tarah Probst (D-189) is inviting residents to her free paper shredding event from 9 a.m. to noon (or until the truck is full) Oct. 19 in the Delaware Township Municipal Building parking lot, 116 Wilson Hill Road, Dingmans Ferry.

The shred event provides an opportunity for residents to safely dispose of documents containing personal information, such as bank statements, tax forms and utility bills, thereby protecting them from potential identity theft.

Attendees should pull up in their vehicles with items prepared for removal. Probst and her staff will unload documents from the car, and the materials will be immediately shredded on site. Bags and boxes will be returned to the car after they are emptied.

Probst and her office staff will be there to provide information on state-related programs and services.

This event is for individuals only, not businesses. Questions about the event can be directed to her office at 570-420-2850.
