The Friends of the Pike County Public Library is celebrating the 44th anniversary of its founding in 1980. The group will hold its final quarterly meeting on Monday, October 7 at 10:30 a.m. at the Community Room of the Milford branch of the Library, located at 119 E. Harford St.

Friends President Kevin Crawley invites all to join the celebration. The Friends is also looking for new volunteers to help; anyone interested can attend the meeting, which will also feature a discussion on book sales, bus trips, and other methods of fundraising, as well as a review of what The Friends have accomplished this year.
