Get free supplies at Narcan Drive-Thru on July 7
Lords Valley. Members of the public are invited to receive Narcan kits, informational materials, and other supplies at the Pike County Training Center.
The public is invited to drive up to receive bags of supplies to help with substance abuse and overdoses, including Narcan kits, DisposeRX bags, informational materials, and other community resources.
This free Narcan Drive-Thru event will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, July 7, at the Pike County Training Center, located at 135 Pike County Boulevard in Lords Valley. It is sponsored by the Carbon, Monroe, Pike Drug and Alcohol Commission; the Pike County Substance Abuse Task Force; and Hope for Pike. The event is made possible by a State Opioid Response Grant through the Department of Drug and Alcohol Program.
“This is a great opportunity for the community to access helpful resources in a quick, drive-by setting during the challenges presented by COVID-19,” said Shannon Wisniewski, Milford Outpatient Supervisor of the Carbon, Monroe, Pike Drug and Alcohol Commission.
Participants must sign waivers regarding how to obtain training in administering Narcan.
