After a three-year pandemic hiatus, the Women Only Luncheon Symposium is coming to town again.
Traditionally one of the hospital’s most popular annual events, The symposium, now in its 22nd year, will be held on Friday, April 21 from 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at Ladore’s Performing Arts and Recreation Center, 398 South St., in Waymart.
“It’s a day designed to enrich your life with a renewed sense of health and vitality through a delightful combination of serious and fun workshops,” said Carol Kneier, manager of Wayne Memorial Community Health, “and a buffet lunch is included!”
The program includes a keynote address by Brittney Tunilo, Ph.D., owner of Unity Healing in Honesdale. Magic or Mindset explores how each person’s mind, experiences, and behaviors are different. “There’s not a lot we can control in this world but we do have control over our own mindset,” she said. Tunilo follows up with a workshop in Session 2.
Other sessions cover heart health, brain health, and financial health. Enjoy a session of fitness, making a craft, and more.
The event is a collaborative effort developed by a WOLS committee which met to discuss topics and presenters. It also includes opportunities to mingle and visit exhibitor tables in the PARC lobby.
The event is $50 per person. Workshop sizes are limited, so interested individuals are encouraged to register early. For reservations and information, call (570) 253-8990 or email Jean Tuttle at tuttle@wmh.org.
