Integrated class bakes and sings for nursing home residents

MILFORD — Members of the junior Integrated Social Studies and English class at Delaware Valley High School had a festive visit recently with elderly members of the community.
The students teamed up to bring in a recipe and the ingredients to make it. They baked several types of cookies after school on Dec. 19.
Two days later, they traveled to the Milford Senior Care facility to drop off half of the cookies, then delivered the remainder to Belle Reve in Milford. They also sang Christmas songs to the residents, many of whom sang along.
The residents thanked the students for their visit, and the students said they were happy to be there.
