Kindred Spirits concert features classical guitar and cello
Milford. The performance took place August 17.
In what was one of the last Kindred Spirits Arts summer concerts at the open-air canopy of the pool pavilion at Grey Towers on August 17, tradition and passion emanated from the stage with the music of classical guitarist Carlos Arturo Bedoya and cellist Yosif Feigelson.
Bedoya has won more than 20 top prizes in national and international festivals and has performed as a soloist with numerous orchestras. He also has a heavy teaching schedule, as well as being both an occasional conductor and arranger.
Feigelson is a well-known cellist and has won numerous Tchaikovsky and Bach international competitions. He has performed as a soloist at halls in New York City, Boston, Chicago, and Washington, D.C.
Feigelson loves to promote young artists, and Bedoya is no exception. This Columbian-born guitarist and Latvian cellist had great respect for each other and their performance was in perfect sync. Their symbiotic relationship carried over to their music and the sound they produced in their duets was new and thrilling to many in the audience.
There were about 100 in the audience listening to a variety of music by Bach, Paganini, Albeniz, and others. The performers also enjoyed two standing ovations and gave one encore.
