League of Women Voters launches annual scholarship
Milford. Applicants must submit a short essay and demonstrate community involvement, among other criteria.
The League of Women Voters of Pike County recently announced the opening of its annual scholarship application season. The League will award one $300 scholarship to a student beginning college in the 2024-2025 academic year. The awardee must be a high school senior, a resident of Pike County, accepted to and planning to attend an accredited college or university, and can demonstrate community involvement, goals, and grades.
Submission of a short essay is also required. Full instructions on essay submission and qualifications for consideration may be obtained by sending a request for the scholarship packet to lwvpikecounty@gmail.com or your school guidance counselor.
The application deadline is May 1, 2024. The successful applicant will be notified by June 3, 2024.
