— More than two weeks after Leanna Walker disappeared, the Milford teen remains missing.
“Unfortunately, I don’t have any news," said State Police spokesperson Trooper Connie Devon. The area around Milford and Dingman Township, where Leanna lives, has been thoroughly searched by local volunteers, state troopers, and emergency management workers — but they found no sign of her.
According to reports, Leanna's sister Diane Bostedo said Leanna left her Sunrise Lakes home with her boyfriend, Sky McDonough, on her own free will. McDonough, 24, of Milford has since been detained, and is currently being held in Pike County prison, Devon said.
“He’s waiting for a hearing for charges filed against him by the Blooming Grove State Police,” Devon said.
McDonough escaped briefly while helping police find Leanna at a New Jersey llama farm, where he used to work and where they'd been together, he said. He escaped into the woods but was quickly recaptured in Milford after a extensive police search operation involving helicopters and dogs.
McDonough is also wanted for charges in New Jersey, the original reason for his arrest.
Devon said the troopers on Tuesday did another canine search at the llama farm but turned up nothing. Troopers didn’t take part in the Missing in America organization’s emergency personnel and community search effort last week, which searched the area starting out from Milford Bible School.
She said she couldn’t comment on the reward being offered by an anonymous person. According to reports, the reward is $10,000.
Leanna’s family wants her to know she’s not in any trouble, and that she should return home as soon as possible.
An anonymous donor has offered a $10,000 reward, according to reports.
Leanna Walker is described as 5 feet, two inches tall and 150 pounds, with long curly blond hair and blue eyes.
