‘Library Friends’ plan Boston bus trip in June
Milford. The trip will help raise funds for library programs.
As 2024 began, the Friends of the Pike County Public Library launched another year of service as a support system to the local library and to the community. Founded in 1980, this group continues to find ways to attract new members and to support the library.
The Friends held their first quarterly meeting on Jan. 8 at the Milford Branch. Present were President Kevin Crawley, Vice President Roseann Hennigan, Library Director Rose Chiocchi, and other officers and members of the Friends. They discussed ways to raise funds through book sales and bus trips.
Crawley announced the first planned bus trip for 2024 — five days and four nights from June 6 to June 10 by motor coach to Boston, Salem, and Cape Ann, Mass. The price per person (double occupancy) is $789. Members of the Friends enjoyed first chance to sign up, but the trip is now available to the public.
Further details about this trip can be found in the Friends Winter 2024 newsletter, available at both library branches and by calling Kevin Crawley at 732-581-8101.
Newcomers are always welcomed.
