Local students earn academic achievements

The Shenandoah University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics set a new school record with 329 student-athletes on the 2023-24 Old Dominion Athletic Conference All-Academic Team in selections released by the conference on July 11. Olivia O’Grady, of Milford, was among the Hornets to earn the honor.

Another noteworthy achievement can from Geneva College, which recently released the names of students who earned placement on the Deans List for the spring semester. Among those named was Caleb H. Willis of Milford, who is a senior at Geneva College. According to the college, Willis had to earn a grade point average of at least 3.6 while passing 12 credit hours or more to be eligible for this recognition.
