Local students making the grade at college

Several colleges throughout the country recently shared local graduates and Dean’s List recipients for the spring semester. A list of the local students and their accomplishments can be found below.

Graduates

John Babbitts of Shohola recently graduated from the College of William & Mary with a Bachelor of Arts Degree.

Jacquelyn Dezenzo of Milford graduated cum laude from Susquehanna University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in creative writing.

Caleb Ukuni of Tamiment graduated from Susquehanna University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in graphic design.

Dean’s List recognition

Marlee Olsson of Greentown was named to Bucknell University’s spring Dean’s List. A student must earn a grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a scale of 4.0 to receive Dean’s List recognition. Olsson is studying biology.

Sam Hurley and Madison Gecik, both of Milford, were named to the University at Albany’s spring Dean’s List. Students must earn a GPA of 3.25 or higher in their first semester of study and a GPA of 3.50 or higher in subsequent semesters.

Victoria Corcoran of Milford was named to the Worcester Polytechnic Institute’s spring Dean’s List. WPI defines the Dean’s List by the amount of work completed at the A level in courses and projects. Corcoran is majoring in biology and biotechnology and psychological science.

Sasha Crawford of Milford was named to DeSales University’s spring Dean’s List. To qualify for Dean’s List, a student must have a minimum 3.50 GPA on no fewer than 12 credit hours. Crawford is majoring in computer science.
