Midge Curreri honored for dedicated service in children’s faith formation

Milford. Midge Curreri of Milford received the Catechist of the Year Award, presented by St. Patrick’s Parish, for dedicated service in children’s faith formation.
She also received the St. Pius X Award presented by the Diocese of Scranton for 12 years of service as a catechist.
The award is dedicated to St. Pius X, who fostered priestly holiness, religious instruction for all and the reception of the Sacrament of Holy Communion.
The award was presented at a luncheon of appreciation for parish catechists who “give of their precious time, energy and talent” sharing the Catholic faith with the children of the parish.”
The event was preceded by a noon Mass celebrated by the Rev. Joseph Manarchuck.
St. Patrick’s Church is celebrating the 75th anniversary of its founding in 1946.
