Recovery and relief efforts continue in the aftermath of Typhoon Mawar - the strongest storm to hit the U.S. island territory in more than two decades. A Milford mother is now asking for help after her Guam-stationed son was directly impacted.
Air Force Sgt. Tony Benson was caught in the typhoon while serving his country. Most of his belongings were destroyed in the storm and his mom is hoping to help him recover via a GoFundMe fundraiser.
At GoFundMe, being a safe and trusted place to give and receive help is our top priority. GoFundMe’s Trust & Safety team is reviewing fundraisers related to Typhoon Mawar so the communities impacted can receive the quick and trusted support they need.
