Rep. Joe Adams (R-Pike/Wayne) recently presented Milford Township with a $100,000 grant to purchase a 2023 Mack Granite dump truck.
“Grant opportunities help our local municipalities upgrade and modernize their equipment when their budgets are already stretched thin,” Adams said. “I am grateful we were able to secure this funding so Milford Township crews can continue to perform their jobs without interruption.”
Adams and Sen. Lisa Baker (R-Pike/Wayne/Luzerne/Susquehanna/Wyoming) advocated for Milford Township to receive the money.
“It has become an increasing challenge for local communities to acquire the expensive vehicles and equipment needed,” Baker said. “I’m thankful that Milford Township can stay current with the level of service residents need and expect.”
The grants were awarded by the Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA) Local Share Account (LSA) program, which uses gaming revenue to support projects in the public interest across the commonwealth.
