Milford Planning Commission says goodbye to its chairperson
Milford. The commissioners also reevaluated the language regarding lot improvement subdivisions.

Barbara Tarquinio will resign from the Milford Borough Planning Commission this April after six years on the job.
Having overseen numerous policies related to community development, the commission is sorry to see her go and thanks her for her service.
A new chairperson will need to be elected before the next meeting in April.
Lot improvement subdivisions
The planning commission has reevaluated the language in the town ordinance, specifically regarding chapter 265.13, under lot improvement subdivisions.
Currently, the article states that lot improvement subdivisions are exempt from the provisions of said chapter, providing that the resulting parcel is restricted to use for one single-family dwelling only and the subdivision map shall note the restriction.
When an applicate is trying to consolidate property and thus move a property line, he or she would need to present an application to the planning commission before having a hearing with the Milford Borough Council.
But not anymore. If an applicate is trying to consolidate properties and wants to move a property line, a hearing is no longer required and a checklist has been added to chapter 265 of the Borough ordinance, making it simpler for those who seek to do so.
Regarding conditional use special exception applications, Milford Borough currently doesn’t have any special exceptions stated. However, if one were presented, it would follow the conditional use process.

The Planning Commission was also allocated $5,000 dollars for 2025 and are currently debating on to use those funds for blight or applying for a grant.
The review for the Marijuana Ordinance was tabled until further notice. The commission board is hoping to review the ordinance and will likely continue discussions on the matter come April.
