Richard Provenzano has announced his candidacy for the Milford Borough Council.

“I’ve enjoyed serving as a volunteer in various capacities and I look forward to continuing that service as a member of the Milford Borough Council,” Provenzano said in the press release detailing his announcement.

“I believe in giving back to one’s community,” Provenzano said. “I’ve been attending Council meetings so I am familiar with the issues and can hit the ground running, if I am elected.

“I will provide leadership,” the candidate added, “that is non-partisan, looks to the future and strives to protect the quality of life in our community.”

Provenzano served two years in the Army Aviation Branch of the Armed Services (1966-68) and 30 years Air Force Auxiliary Civil Air Patrol, including 20 years as captain, New York Wing, Catskill Mountain Group Search and Rescue.

Prior to retiring, he was a Journeyman Electrician and a member of the IBEW for 30 years.

He is a graduate of the University of Tennessee’s “Train the Trainer” curriculum and was an IBEW Apprentice Instructor for 10 years.
