Milford Troop 1071 to participate in Wreaths Across America

Milford Scout Troop 1071 will be participating in Wreaths Across America (WAA) this year, which pays tribute to area veterans by placing wreaths on veterans’ graves. This year the troop would like to place wreaths on veterans’ graves at the United States Military Academy at West Point in N.Y. But to do so it is seeking the public’s help. The scout troop plans to place the wreaths on December 7 at 12 p.m.

In 2023, over three million sponsored veterans’ wreaths were placed by volunteers on headstones at 4,224 participating locations worldwide. This year, National Wreaths Across America Day will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2024. This is a free event open to all, and the organization encourages community members to participate by volunteering locally or sponsoring a wreath for an American hero.
