— After closing for renovations over the winter, the newly-refreshed River Rock Inn and Restaurant in Milford will be re-opening on Thursday, April 10 at 5 p.m.

Joining Chef/Owner Ken Pisciotta in a new partnership will be Janice Halsted and Carl Muhlhauser, Innkeeper and chef at the former Laurel Villa.

“I’m delighted to welcome Carl and Janice back to the building where they served so many wonderful meals over decades of ownership. Going forward we will be bringing our guests the best of both worlds,” said Pisciotta.

The new menu at the River Rock Inn will feature highlights from Chef Ken’s menu such as his signature Mushroom Bisque, River Rock Salad, and Calamari with Chipotle Aioli. There will also be a selection of lighter fare featuring half-portions of certain menu items, and the popular Wednesday Burger Night will be returning.

Chef Carl will be joining Pisciotta in the kitchen, and will be bringing back some customer favorites from the Laurel Villa menu, including his French Onion Soup, Mussels au Gratin, and the much-requested schnitzel.

Halsted will be greeting guests, handling the front of house and tending bar. “I’m looking forward to seeing many old friends and making many new ones,” she said.

During April the River Rock Inn will be open Wednesday through Sunday evenings from 5 p.m. Expanded hours are planned starting in May.
