Mock Trial team wins district championship

The Delaware Valley High School Mock Trial team.
The Delaware Valley High School Mock Trial team won the Region 10 District 2 Championship on Monday night at the Monroe County Courthouse. The plaintiff team of attorneys Nat Carso, Owen Carso and Brooke Natter, along with witnesses Mike Elaro, Chris Fleming, Sydney Harris, and Jackson Hancock defeated East Stroudsburg South High School on February 26 and Stroudsburg Area High School on March 3. The defense team of attorneys Savanah Murdock, Andria Prime and Grace Myers, along with witnesses Anjali Udeshi, Cadence Blood, and Marissa Gates defeated Jim Thorpe Area High School on Thursday, February 27.
Attorney Grace Myers was named best attorney for the defense and attorney Owen Carso was named best attorney for the plaintiff team in both competitions. Marissa Gates was named the best witness for the defense and Sydney Harris and Jackson Hancock were named best witnesses for the plaintiff team.
The team will face the winner of District 1 on Tuesday, March 11 for the Regional 10 title and a trip to the state tournament.
