Music fills the air at Septemberfest
Milford. The festival featured a variety of performers throughout the Borough.
Milford’s Septemberfest kicked off Friday night, Sept. 20, when lead singer and fiddler from Owls and Lions Nicole DeLoi performed at the Milford Theatre, playing to a full house. The weather was perfect the following day when the festival was in full swing and several great bands were spread throughout the busy town. Notably, the Cruzadors, who set up next to John’s of Arthur Ave, had several attendees dancing and enjoying themselves.
East Catharine Street was closed off and patrons were able to filter in and out as music could be found almost on every corner. From Jive Bar to The Dimmick Inn, from Café Wren to Log Tavern Brewery, all sorts of melodies could be found, including flamenco at La Posada & Felix Cantina and swing at Chant Realtors.
Music wasn’t the only thing happening, however. Political rallies and tables were up and out along Broad and Harford streets. There was also a pet adoption held by Jill’s Ferals and a raffle from the Milford Pet Supply in the Lumberyards.
This marked another fine event hosted by Milford Presents and a reminder that the Toast to Milford will be on October 12.
