Port Jervis Mayor Dominic Cicalese on Friday announced that an overnight street parking ban will be in effect starting Saturday, February 8, 2025, at 12 a.m. and will remain in effect until further notice due to multiple impending storms potentially coming through the area the next week.
The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for the area from Saturday at 5 p.m. to Sunday at 11 a.m. The weather service expects the area to get about five to eight inches of snow during that time. A light glaze of ice is also possible.
Snow is also currently forecasted for Tuesday and Thursday of next week. On Tuesday, the day will see afternoon snow shows and about one to three inches overnight. On Thursday, another winter storm is expected to drop another one to three inches.
