The Pike County Board of Elections Office inducted six Pike County voters into the Pennsylvania Voter Hall of Fame at the July 17, 2024, Pike County Commissioners meeting.

In Pennsylvania, a voter that has voted in 50 consecutive elections is eligible to be entered into the Pennsylvania Voter Hall of Fame and to receive a certificate from the governor commending this achievement.

“Life gets in the way, family emergencies happen, cars break down, and in northeast Pennsylvania, bad weather happens. For these people to have made it to the polls every single election, every first Tuesday in November is quite an accomplishment,” said Pike County Board of Elections Director Nadeen Manzoni.

The applications will be submitted to the state and these individuals will be immortalized in the state database as having been entered into the Pennsylvania Voter Hall of Fame.

This year’s inductees are:

- Marilyn Dellert

- Patricia Greeves

- Linda Harding

- Donna Jennings

- James Jennings

- John Kiesendahl

State Senator Lisa Baker and State Representative Jeff Olsommer were in attendance to recognize this achievement and celebrate the inductees’ exemplary voting records.

Baker said, “When we think about the hallmarks of our country, it is civic participation and engagement and selecting the men and woman who serve our communities, both at the community level, the county, the state, and the nation. I am honored to have certificates to recognize your efforts and to say congratulations.”

Olsommer added, “On behalf of the House of Representatives, I sincerely want to applaud you on your effort to make it to the polls for 50 years, that is no small feat.”
