Port Jervis, N.Y. St. Josephs Place secures another five-star rating from Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services
St. Josephs Place, located on the campus of WMCHealth’s Bon Secours Community Hospital in Port Jervis, N.Y., recently received a five-star Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) nursing home rating for excellence in specialized care.
The overall star rating for nursing homes comes from a combination of health inspections, staffing and quality of resident care measures.
CMS calculates a star rating for each of these three categories, along with an overall facility rating, with a five-star rating indicating a facility’s exemplary care and physical environment.
This is the second consecutive five-star rating from CMS for St. Josephs Place.
“St. Josephs has upheld a high standard of care for many consecutive years and is proud to again be recognized with a five-star rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services,” said Mary P. Leahy, MD, MHA, CEO of Bon Secours Charity Health System. “Thank you to our staff and to the families trusting us with caring for their loved ones who have helped us achieve this important recognition.”
