The Port Jervis Physical Education Department attended the NYS AHPERD Catskill Zone Conference on November 7 at Minisink Valley. The NYS AHPERD Catskill Zone Conference is an event for professionals in the field of physical activity, physical education, school-based health, and wellness in New York State. Programs cover a wide variety of topics and incorporate the most recent findings on how students engage in physical education, health education, and activity programs. These teachers with the Port Jervis school district came back with valuable and innovative ways of adjusting and enhancing their curriculum, instruction, and assessment strategies.
