Potholes plague Log Tavern Road
Dingman Township. Residents noted tire and rim damage.
The Dingman Township Board of Supervisors approved a change to the Flood Plan Ordinance during their Oct. 1 meeting regarding how people can apply for assistance in case of a flood. Where it once was done through the state Department of Community and Economic Development, citizens will now be required to go through the state Mitigation, Insurance, and Resilient Communities Office.
Regarding local road work, the Board shared that shouldering has been finished along several roads in Dingman Township, including Nitche Road and Old Bridge Road. Several residents also expressed concern over potholes along the edge of Log Tavern Road. The white fog line has been painted through a series of potholes, causing tire and rim damage for some locals. The Board of Supervisors said it spoke with the county Road Taskforce and asked for the problem to be brought up so a plan can be intact to resolve the issue at the next Road Taskforce meeting.
In other news, the township has applied for several grants regarding the Dingman Township Park, to help fund sensory equipment and covers. Responses for these are expected to be heard in spring 2025.
