HONESDALE — Lee Oakes, chair of the Wayne Memorial Hospital/Health System Board of Trustees from 2009 to 2014 donated her board retirement gift, a rocking chair, to the hospital’s New Beginnings maternity unit.
New mom Ellen Kavalkovich of Waymart put the chair to the test with baby Maxima in her lap and a room full of Wayne Memorial folks. Little Maxima was born to Ellen and dad Chris Kavalkovich on Feb. 5.
